🎬 Climb Replay Analyzer
Review your climbing runs to identify mistakes and improvement opportunities. Use this guide to get the most out of your practice sessions.
How to Use This Tool
The Replay Analyzer is a methodology guide for reviewing your climbs. Since the game doesn't have a built-in replay system, use screen recording and manual review to analyze your runs.
Step 1: Record Your Run
Use screen recording software (OBS, Xbox Game Bar, etc.) to capture your climb sessions. Recording every summit attempt — successful or failed — gives you data to analyze.
Step 2: Review Key Moments
Watch the replay and look for these critical moments:
- Oxygen drops below 30%: Did you know where the next refill station was?
- Stamina hits zero: Where did you lose control? What could you have done differently?
- Blizzard hit: Did you have enough time to seek shelter? What were the warning signs?
- Ridgeline crossing: Were you using Shift Lock? Was tether connected?
Step 3: Take Notes
Write down specific moments and what you could have done better. Use the Personal Skill Profile to track patterns across multiple runs.
Common Mistakes to Look For
| Mistake | What to Look For | Correction |
|---|---|---|
| Too fast on snow plains | Did you sprint even once on a snow plain? | Always walk — note the location and slow down next time |
| Low oxygen departure | Did you leave camp with less than 60% oxygen? | Always refill to 80%+ before departing |
| Stamina depleted mid-climb | Did you start a vertical section with less than 70% stamina? | Rest longer before difficult sections |
| Ignored blizzard cues | Did you notice wind sounds? Did you seek shelter? | Practice audio awareness — seek shelter earlier |
| No tether on ridgeline | Were you tethered above Camp 2 on exposed sections? | Always tether above Camp 2 |
💡 Pro Tip
After each failed climb, review the replay and note one specific thing to improve. Don't try to fix everything at once — one improvement per session compounds over time.
